THE "BIG DISCONNECT" OF EVERY OTHER REALITY MUSIC TV SHOW

Every other music TV reality series showcases artists singing the same, tired old songs from the last 4-5 decades. Then when one of them wins, they release an album of original music that the viewing public is completely unfamiliar with. Everyone knows that practically every one of the "winners" of all of the above mentioned shows go NOWHERE without a great song. This is why few — if any — of these "winners" ends up as a bona-fide recording artist. This is what we call the "BIG DISCONNECT".

SIDESTEPPING THE "BIG DISCONNECT"

You Pick The Hit sidesteps the Big Disconnect by presenting original songs in a variety of formats to allow viewers to become intimately familiar with the ACTUAL SONGS the artists will be releasing. They will hear them first as piano/voice or guitar/voice demos; then as rehearsed by the session players, then mixed, then the final polished version of the song. By that time, the song is well-known to them and the artist's soul is laid bare.
